There is a structured orientation to BOPDHB, the NETP/NESP Programme and the RN graduate's clinical placement.

Every RN graduate is assigned a preceptor(s) who has completed an approved training programme. Preceptors, and other members of the clinical team, work alongside the RN graduate providing support and opportunities for critical analysis, reflection and goal setting.

Professional Development & Recognition Programme (PDRP):

RN graduates are required to submit an e-Portfolio at RN Competent Level prior to completion of the programme. Resources, including access to BOPDHB's e-Learning site are provided to enable the graduate to complete this.

Ongoing employment:

Ongoing employment within the BOPDHB is subject to graduates meeting the NETP/NESP requirements and vacancy availability at the time of completing the programme.

BOPDHB's expectations of those employed into the NETP programme are outlined in the Graduate Nurse Position Description.
