Patient and Family Centred Care
Patient and family-centred care is
changing relationships in health care. It places an emphasis
on health care providers collaborating with patients and families
of all ages, at all levels of care, and in all health care
settings. As a DHB, we acknowledge that families, however they
are defined, are essential to patients' health and well-being.
This philosophy of Patient and Family Centred Care is our
standard for our process improvement initiatives. Supported
by our Volunteer Patient Advisory Group, a host of projects are
planned and some already underway. If you would like to be involved
